Warranty

ThinClients generally have a long service life due to the fact that they do not have fans or moving parts. However, if a ThinClient does fail, your device will be repaired or replaced free of charge within the warranty period.

RMA Procedure (Return Merchandise Authorization)

To initiate an RMA request, please use our ticket system.
After creating a new ticket, we will check if the ThinClient is still within the warranty period.
You will then receive a return merchandise authorization form, which you should include for further processing of the return shipment.
Please follow these instructions.

Warranty Conditions

The openthinclient gmbh offer is exclusively aimed at commercial customers (B2B).
The warranty period is 24 months from the date of delivery.
The buyer must immediately inspect the delivered goods for any defects upon receipt and inform openthinclient of any existing defects.
In the case of warranty claims in the B2B business, the buyer is responsible for the cost of returning the goods to openthinclient.

Authorization for Use & Support

When purchasing ThinClient hardware, the right to use and support for the openthinclient software is included for a period of 24 months.
Free use of the software

You can use the openthinclient software for both this ThinClient model and your own client hardware (e.g. existing PCs) with an installation size of up to 24 ThinClients free of charge.
For support, please use the free community support.
For professional support, it is necessary to register an installation with 25 or more ThinClients.

Receiving authorization to use the software

1. When purchasing ThinClient hardware, please include the server ID of your installation in the delivery address.
2. For installations with 25 or more ThinClients, you will receive professional support with guaranteed response times.
3. If you use hardware other than openthinclient devices, you must purchase authorization to use the software separately.
4. You can check the registration of your installation at https://support.openthinclient.com.
5. There you will also find the corresponding authorization to use the software – if your openthinclient server has unrestricted internet access, it will automatically retrieve it; if not, you can copy and paste it from the registration ticket and enter it into the corresponding field in the openthinclient manager.
