Hardware ThinClients for office use

Thin clients for office use

Compared to a classic PC, a thin client offers many advantages as a computer workstation in the office. It is set up quickly, ready for operation quickly and the actual Windows session runs in your data center. The unpopular Windows-updates when starting or shutting down the computer are a thing of the past.

  • central administration
  • central updates
  • easy changeover / exchange
  • quick rollout
  • high availability

Small and noiseless

The housing of a TC is - depending on the model - only as big as a book. This client easily finds next to or behind the monitor. Using a vesa-mount, it can be mounted on the back of the display to save space.

The models from openthinclient have no fans and no moving parts. For you, this means that the thin client works completely silently. If you work in an open-plan office, you have noticed when you come very early or late in the evening, how silent and quiet it is - or what background noise there is on a normal working day?!

Compare these features to your PC, which stands as a "big box" under the desk and "hums" all day long.

Easy handling

After switching on, the thin client loads a thin client operating system and is ready for operation in less than a minute. The actual applications do not run on the TC itself, but in your data center. Keyboard and mouse inputs are transmitted over the network, and conversely the picture of your session is displayed on the TC.

Updates are installed centrally by the IT administration. Waiting times on the thin client, which are known from PCs, with messages such as "do not switch off your PC, update 1 of 22 will be installed" are a thing of the past.

Saving energy

A thin client is not only smaller and quieter than a PC, it also requires significantly less power. The power supply of a standard PC has 150 to 300 watts connected load. The power consumption of our thin clients is on average 10 watts. If you convert this saving in energy costs per hour into days and years, it adds up to a lot.

Connect everything

Of course, you can plug in the same peripherals on a thin client as on a PC. Our thin clients have up to 3 display connections, sufficient USB sockets and of course jack connections for speakers or microphone.

  • up to 3 displays
  • HDMI or display port up to 4K
  • up to 6 USB ports
  • thin clients with serial interface

Here you can find the current thin client models in our shop.
