Warranty
Thin clients typically have a long lifespan due to the fact that they do not have fans or moving parts. However, if a thin client fails, your device will be repaired or replaced free of charge within the warranty period.
RMA Process (Return Merchandise Authorization)
To request an RMA, please use our ticketing system. After creating a new ticket, we will check if the thin client is still under warranty. You will then receive a return merchandise authorization form, which you should include for further processing of the return. Please follow this procedure for more information.
Warranty Conditions
openthinclient gmbh’s offer is exclusively aimed at commercial customers (B2B). The warranty period is 24 months from the date of delivery. The buyer must inspect the delivered goods for any defects immediately upon receipt and inform openthinclient of any existing defects. In the case of warranty claims in B2B transactions, the buyer bears the cost of returning the goods to openthinclient.

Authorization for Use & Support
With the purchase of ThinClient hardware, the usage rights & support for the openthinclient software are included for a period of 24 months.
Free use of the software
You can use the openthinclient software for both this ThinClient model and for your own client hardware (e.g. existing PCs) with an installation size of up to 24 ThinClients for free.
For support, please use the free Community Support available at https://wiki.openthinclient.org/.
For professional support, it is necessary to register an installation of 25 or more ThinClients.

Obtaining Usage Rights
1. When purchasing the ThinClient hardware, enter the Server ID of your installation in the delivery address.
2. For installations of 25 or more ThinClients, you will receive professional support with guaranteed response times.
3. If you use hardware from openthinclient as well as your own hardware, you must purchase the usage rights for it separately.
4. You can check the registration of your installation at https://support.openthinclient.com.
5. There you will also find the corresponding usage rights – if your openthinclient server has unrestricted internet access, it will automatically retrieve them; if not, you can copy and paste them from the registration ticket into the corresponding field in the openthinclient manager.

Terms and conditions for DEMO-UNITS
Openthinclient makes the ThinClient available to the customer for inspection and testing of functionality and intended use.
The testing period begins upon receipt of the ThinClient and ends after 4 weeks or on the agreed date. Before the end of the testing period, the ThinClient, including all accessories, must be returned to openthinclient in its original packaging and original condition.
The customer has the opportunity to purchase the ThinClient at the offered price. This requires only written order placement. If the customer returns the ThinClient at his own expense before the end of the testing period, the test placement is terminated and the customer incurs no further costs. If the customer does not return the goods or returns them incomplete before the end of the testing period, they will be invoiced to the customer.
The customer is required to handle the ThinClient with care and keep it operational. In case of malfunctions, openthinclient must be notified immediately. The customer is not authorized to repair it. The customer assures that he will only use the goods for the intended purpose.
The customer is fully liable for any damage caused by him, for the loss of the goods, and for risks that can usually be insured. In the case of damages, the customer is responsible for the necessary repair costs.
During the duration of the loan, openthinclient remains the owner of the goods.
